          Randy started his career with Coplay and helped them to a Tri-County title in 1988.  During his four year career with Coplay (1988-91) Randy was 22 - 9 with 221 strikeouts in 228 innings pitched.  His four-year ERA was 2.94.  In 1989 Baer won 8 games and struck out 79 batters (second most ever by a pitcher in a single season).

He moved onto South Whitehall and helped bring a championship there in 1998. He pitched for Limeport from 2000-2002.   Baer has 51 career wins with 576 strikeouts in 606 innings pitched.  His fifteen year ERA is 3.20.

          Randy is a 4-Time Tri-County All-Star. He has one career no-hitter and two career one-hitters.   Randy struck out 40 or more batters 7 times.  He struck out 50 or more batters 4 times.

          Baer is near the top of the career leaders in several pitching categories.  His career ERA ranks 21st,  wins is 13th, and innings pitched is 6th.  He has struck out the second most batters in Tri-County history (576)

          Randy has retired from playing baseball, but  remains active as a coach for  Parkland High School.  He is the team's pitching coach.  Randy is also an assistant for the North Parkland Jr. Legion baseball team.
