Jeff came to Limeport after a stellar high school career. He was one of the main reasons that the Emmaus Green Hornets baseball team finished second in the state of Pennsylvania in 2000.
Jeff has emerged as one of the top pitchers in the Tri-County League. Jeff led the Bulls in innings pitched in 2002 (54) and 2003 (53). He had the second most innings pitched in 2004 (39), 2005 (33), and 2006 (37). Krauss's two best years to date were 2003 and 2006. In 2003 he was 5-2 with 2 saves. He struck out 53 batters. In 2006 he was 6-2 with 1 save while keeping his ERA just abobe 2 (2.06). He struck out 43 batters in only 37 innings.
Jeff earned a victory in his first ever playoff appearance during in 2002 , pitching a complete game. Jeff won 2 playoff games in 2005.
Krauss made the All-Star team during each of his first three years in the league. He also was the starting pitcher for the Tri-County vs. the Canadians in 2002.
